The gorge walk of El Barranco del Inferno is probably one of the best non-climbing days to be had on the Costa Blanca. A series of short abseils, scrambles and a "via ferrata" climbing wire lead you through some of the most dramatic country side in Spain.
If you want to rest those aching fingers, but if sitting on the beach bores you to tears and fills you with dread, try the gorge you won't be disappointed.
The round trip takes from five to six hours, and involves about eight miles of walking.
'The gorge walk was well worth the effort' said Sally after a long but enjoyable day.
